New Harlan Coben Netflix Drama I Will Find You Binge-Worthy

Harlan Coben's latest Netflix adaptation, I Will Find You, premiered on June 18 and has already sparked intense reactions from viewers. The eight-episode miniseries, based on Coben's 2023 best-selling novel, follows a father wrongly imprisoned for his son's murder who escapes after learning his son may still be alive.

Plot and Cast

The story centers on David Burroughs, played by Sam Worthington (Avatar, Clash of the Titans), who is convicted of killing his own son. When he receives intelligence that his son might be alive, he escapes prison to find him. Britt Lower stars alongside Worthington, with supporting roles from Milo Ventimiglia, Logan Browning, and Madeline Stowe.

The series continues Coben's lucrative deal with Netflix, following the success of Fool Me Once (2024) starring Michelle Keegan. That adaptation drew massive viewership, setting high expectations for I Will Find You.

Fan and Critic Reactions

Within its first day, fans have binge-watched the entire season. One viewer wrote: 'This show completely took over my life from the moment I pressed play and ended up finishing the entire thing in a single sitting because I simply couldn't look away. This wasn't just a show I enjoyed – it was a show I experienced.'

Another fan noted: 'Are there plot holes? Sure - it's a made for Netflix soap opera type of show. But the acting is solid, the story is solid, and the plot kept me interested to binge the whole season.'

However, not all reviews are glowing. A critic commented: 'Unless you are prepared to COMPLETELY suspend belief of even the most normal, basic expectations of realism, give this a miss. The ridiculous scenarios you're expected to swallow had me turning it off 10 minutes into episode 2.'

Miniseries Format

Like most of Coben's Netflix adaptations, I Will Find You is a standalone miniseries with no plans for additional seasons. All eight episodes are available for streaming now.
