Film fans are praising Netflix's newest addition as a 'breathtaking' watch that shouldn't be missed. Despite arriving on Netflix just days ago, the crime-thriller and slasher film Mindhunters has already secured a spot in the platform's top 10 most-watched titles.
The 2004 picture centres on seven elite FBI trainees, experts in psychological profiling, who become stranded on an isolated island during a training exercise. Yet it's on this island that they realise a genuine serial killer lurks amongst them, forcing them to employ their expertise to unmask the murderer before time runs out.
Beyond its compelling premise, Mindhunters also features an impressive ensemble cast, including an NCIS legend. NCIS Los Angeles and NCIS Hawaii star LL Cool J takes on the role of Agent Gabe Jensen. The cast also includes Top Gun's Val Kilmer, Dexter: Original Sin's Christian Slater, Cold Case's Kathryn Morris, Trainspotting's Jonny Lee Miller and Band of Brothers' Eion Bailey.
Viewers have been effusive in their praise, with many drawing comparisons to the Final Destination franchise but with a crime drama angle.
