Morrissey has cancelled his upcoming Las Vegas residency just days before the first show. The former Smiths frontman was scheduled to perform four nights at the Wynn Las Vegas starting August 14.
The 66-year-old singer's team announced the shows will not go ahead due to 'unforeseen logistical challenges', and the dates have been removed from his website. According to Consequence, who broke the news, the rest of Morrissey's scheduled tour remains on the calendar.
Previous cancellations
This is not the first time Morrissey has cancelled a show at short notice. In March this year, he cancelled a concert in Valencia at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía because he was sleep-deprived.
'Having travelled for two days by road, Morrissey reached the hotel in Valencia late on Wednesday,' a message read on his website. 'Any form of sleep or rest throughout the night was impossible due to festival noise/ loud techno singing/ megaphone announcements.'
'This experience has left Morrissey in a catatonic state. Before leaving for tonight's scheduled concert, please check that the show remains possible under these circumstances.' The website was later updated to confirm he would not perform due to the noise preventing him from resting.
Morrissey cancelled 22 of his concerts in 2025.
