Melanie wore a custom Victoria Beckham gown for the ceremony. Victoria told Vogue: “Melanie is quite minimalist and didn’t want anything too fussy, conceptual or overly complicated – this is all very aligned with what I do.” The lace pattern combined two different lace designs, hand-stitched onto a satin slip to create a unique look.
Melanie revealed she has long been a fan of Beckham's label, calling the fitting experience emotional. “Victoria was so excited about being able to do this for me, and having her and Scarlet there… every step of the way has been very special,” she said. “Plus, I just love her clothes.”
Sporty Spice-Inspired Reception Look
After the meal, Melanie changed into a custom ivory silk Adidas tracksuit with white silk stripes, high-waisted wide-legged trousers, and a cropped jacket with a peaked lapel and deep ribbed waistband. She wore custom Superstar trainers. A matching Adidas robe was worn while getting ready, paired with custom white and gold sliders featuring the wedding date in gold.
This look paid homage to her Sporty Spice persona, a nod to her iconic stage identity.
Bandmates' Reactions and Wedding Details
A source told The Mirror: “All the girls are thrilled for her….they are all so excited. They have never seen her so happy.” Her bandmates are described as “all absolutely over the moon” about the marriage.
Melanie and Chris, an Australian model and screenwriter, went public with their romance in 2024 after matching on the celebrity app Raya. She said: “Nobody knows this but we actually met on Raya ... Yeah, it can work people!”
Mel was the last Spice Girl to marry. Geri married Christian Horner in 2015, Emma married Jade Jones in 2021, Mel B married Rory McPhee in 2025, and Victoria married David Beckham in 1999.

Melanie told Vogue the couple got engaged in Mallorca last July. After a lavish meal, they returned to their hotel suite filled with candles. “It was beautiful, just the two of us,” she said. “He couldn’t believe I was surprised but I was floored.”
She admitted she hadn't expected to marry. “I wasn’t a girl who grew up dreaming about her dress. I was always just focused on my career. I think even relationships took a backseat for me because I’ve been so driven to do what I love, which is performing. I’d gotten to the point in my life where I just didn’t think it was going to be a part of my story.”
Melanie has a daughter, Scarlett, from a previous relationship with property developer Thomas Starr. She also had a seven-year relationship with former manager Joe Marshall, which ended in 2022.
