Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's production company, Archewell Productions, has a slate of upcoming projects, including a documentary about Girl Scouts, a polo drama, and several film adaptations. The company, established in 2020, is actively developing content for Netflix and other platforms.
Cookie Queens Documentary
Meghan recently appeared at a screening for the documentary film Cookie Queens, which follows four young Girl Scouts – Oliva, Shannon, Art, and Nikki – through the highs and lows of cookie sales. At the launch, Meghan praised her team's eye for compelling stories, saying, "We have an amazing team at Archewell Productions, and a lot of things come across the desk, but the team has such a good eye."
She added, "We saw a very small teaser, but there was a clear inkling that this was going to be different — cinematic but also real and vulnerable. When we first met, I baked some cookies and brought them to the team, and we were all so enthusiastic. We were happy to join forces and support this project."
The film comes after the release of Meghan's Netflix lifestyle show With Love, Meghan and the short documentary Masaka Kids: A Rhythm Within. Meghan is working on Cookie Queens with director Alyssa Nahmias.
Unnamed Polo Drama
In 2024, Meghan and Harry produced a documentary about polo, but they are now revisiting the sport in a scripted format. The untitled project, written by Francisca X Hu, is described as an "upstairs-downstairs drama" set in Wellington, Florida, revolving around "the messy dynamics between two rival teams and the families that lead them," according to Deadline. Their earlier polo documentary was also set in Wellington at the US Open Polo Championship but was cancelled after one series.
Meet Me at the Lake
Another rom-com in the works with Netflix is Meet Me at the Lake, adapted from Carley Fortune's novel. The book follows two strangers who spend a day together and make a promise that leads to life-changing consequences. Archewell Productions acquired the rights in 2023, but the screenplay is still being refined and no cast has been announced.
Novelist Carley Fortune said of Harry and Meghan: "I felt like they really understood the story and what mattered about the story. It's a romance, but it's very much about a mother and daughter too, and we talked a lot about parenthood and also about how these love stories are about so much more. It's a story about grief, it's a story about mental health, and so I felt like it was in good hands with them."
The Wedding Date
In 2025, it was announced that Harry and Meghan would adapt Jasmine Guillory's rom-com novel The Wedding Date for Netflix. With screenwriter Tracy Oliver at the helm, the film tells the story of career-obsessed Alexa Monroe as she gets stuck in a lift with charming stranger Drew Nichols. The pair agree to attend a wedding together, and a romance blossoms. No cast has been announced yet.
No Way Out
Archewell Productions is also adapting No Way Out: The Searing True Story of Men Under Siege, a non-fiction book about Easy Company during the war in Afghanistan in 2006. The unit of paratroopers and Royal Irish rangers were tasked with holding a district in Helmand province. Bridge of Spies writer Matt Charman is writing the adaptation for Netflix.
