Pamela Anderson has been cast alongside Liam Neeson in Paramount Pictures’ upcoming untitled ‘Naked Gun’ reboot, directed by Akiva Schaffer. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 18, 2025.
Anderson, best known for her role in ‘Baywatch’, brings comedy experience from films such as ‘Scary Movie 3’ and ‘Superhero Movie’. She previously reprised her character C.J. Parker in the 2017 ‘Baywatch’ film starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.
The script was written by Dan Gregor, Doug Mand, and Schaffer. Gregor and Mand previously wrote the Emmy-winning Disney+ film ‘Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers’. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins are producing via Fuzzy Door, with Daniel M. Stillman serving as executive producer.
The reboot is based on the ‘Naked Gun’ franchise, which originated from the TV series ‘Police Squad!’ starring Leslie Nielsen. Created by Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, and Jerry Zucker, the original trilogy earned over $216 million at the domestic box office in the early 1990s.
Paramount has been reviving theatrical comedies, following the success of ‘The Lost City’ ($192.9m worldwide) and the recent ‘Mean Girls’ ($104.4m). Anderson is represented by Chris Smith at Independent Artist Group, Don Steele at Hansen, Jacobson, and Lester Knispel at Boulevard Management.
