LEGO has announced its first-ever Shrek-themed sets, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the beloved animated film. The two new sets, created in partnership with Universal Products & Experiences, are now available for pre-order in the UK and will begin shipping from 1 June 2026.
The larger set, designed for builders aged 18 and over, includes 1,403 pieces and features brick-built models of Shrek, Donkey, and a Puss in Boots minifigure. It comes with a swamp base and the iconic 'Beware Ogre' sign, along with hidden Easter eggs such as sunflowers, an onion, and a blue flower with red thorns. The set also includes a surprise element inside Shrek's gut.
For younger fans, a LEGO BrickHeadz set allows children aged 10 and above to build stylised versions of Shrek, Donkey, and Gingy. This 259-piece set includes playful details like Shrek's ears, Donkey's smile, and Gingy's icing buttons, plus a 'Beware Ogre' sign inspired by Shrek's swamp.
Raquel Ojeda, Creative Lead at the LEGO Group, said: 'Shrek has always celebrated imagination, friendship, and a little bit of mischief, which are values that translate perfectly into LEGO play. We're ogre the moon to partner with this beloved universe and see how fans build their own fairy-tale adventures. This is just the beginning.'
Customers who pre-order can receive free gifts, including Adventure Peely & Cuddle Team Leader sets. The sets will be available to purchase outright from 1 June 2026 online and in stores.
