Knives Out 3 Faces Limited Theatrical Release

Director Rian Johnson has expressed frustration over the limited theatrical distribution of his upcoming film, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The third instalment in the popular whodunit series will hit cinemas on 26 November, but only at Landmark and Alamo Drafthouse locations, as confirmed by Johnson on X. He noted that AMC Theatres, the world's largest cinema chain, declined to screen the movie.

Johnson shared a link to a list of screenings, urging fans to check for nearby showings. The film will become available on Netflix from 12 December, but Johnson emphasised that it could remain in theatres beyond that date if demand persists, leaving the decision to individual cinemas. Responding to a fan in Oklahoma City who reported no local screenings, Johnson advised checking for updates and politely contacting theatre managers to request the film.

Wake Up Dead Man sees Daniel Craig return as Detective Benoit Blanc, investigating the death of a monsignor. The all-star cast includes Cailee Spaeny, Andrew Scott, Josh O'Connor, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Josh Brolin, Kerry Washington, and Glenn Close. The franchise began with 2019's Knives Out, starring Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, and Jamie Lee Curtis, followed by 2022's Glass Onion featuring Kate Hudson and Janelle Monáe.
