John Hannah, known for The Mummy and ITV's Benidorm Is Murder, is set to star in a new action thriller unlike anything he has done before. Titled Bad Day at the Office, the film is shot entirely in first person, using GoPro cameras to put viewers in the middle of the action.
A Wild and Relentless POV Thriller
The film combines high-octane action with an adrenaline-fuelled video game feel. Every punch, chase, and explosion is seen and felt through the eyes of the protagonists and antagonists, promising an immersive experience. Action Xtreme released a trailer this week, describing the film as a "wild and relentless POV thriller."
The synopsis reveals that Karl (John Hannah) wakes up in a wrecked hotel room with no memory of who he is or what happened. He discovers a dead body in his bathtub, and two police officers knock on his door, triggering a terrifying series of events. Karl and hotel maid Molly (Radha Mitchell) are forced into a blind descent into a world of confusion and conspiracy, with a price on his head and half the city in pursuit.

Alongside Hannah and Mitchell, the film features Tamer Hassan, Lana Parrilla, Tim Fellingham, Roxanne McKee, Branko Tomović, and Victor Gardener. It is directed by Chee Keong Cheung.
Bad Day at the Office will premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival as the opening film of the Midnight Madness strand. It will also be shown in an immersive 4DX screening at Cineworld Fountainbridge on August 19. The film arrives in cinemas on October 30.
