Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is set to focus his energy on taking down Caleb Miligan (William Ash) in Emmerdale, while his relationship with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) faces a new threat.
Gabby plants doubt about Dawn
Earlier, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) planted a seed of doubt in Joe's mind after a confrontation with Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn. Seeking revenge, Gabby claimed Dawn isn't over Billy and warned Joe to watch his partner. However, in today's episode, Joe decided against investigating Dawn after becoming distracted by someone else.
Joe approaches Noah
In the pub, Joe remembered he has a brother and approached Noah Dingle (Jack Downham), saying he misses him and hopes they can spend time together. Caleb, nearby, made jibes about Noah not wanting to be around a vile human like Joe. This tension stems from Joe having stolen Caleb's kidney without his knowledge.
Depot confrontation and suspicious papers
Later, Joe went to the depot to warn Caleb about turning Noah against him. He interrupted a conversation between Caleb and Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton). As Kerry left in a hurry, she dropped papers linked to their counterfeit goods scheme. When Joe returned to Home Farm, he told Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) it was strange that Caleb backed off so easily and asked Graham to investigate.
Dawn and Billy's near kiss
While Joe focuses on Caleb, Dawn's feelings for Billy have resurfaced. The duo almost share a kiss this week, and their worries increase when Joe walks in seconds later, unsure how much he saw. If Joe remains fixated on Caleb's secret, Dawn may have an opportunity to see Billy behind his back.
