ITV is set to premiere The Rainmaker, a new legal thriller based on John Grisham's best-selling novel, starting September 4. The series, starring John Slattery and Milo Callaghan, is expected to appeal to fans of The Split.

The show follows Rudy Baylor, a recent law school graduate who uncovers a mystery and clashes with more experienced lawyers. The 10-episode drama will air weekly on ITV1 with a double bill at 9pm, and the full season will be available on ITVX immediately.

Milo Callaghan plays Rudy, while John Slattery portrays Leo F. Drummond, a managing partner at the Tinley Britt law firm. Madison Iseman plays Sarah Plankmore, Rudy's girlfriend and a first-year associate. PJ Byrne, known for The Wolf of Wall Street, plays Deck Shifflet, and Lana Parrilla stars as Jocelyn "Bruiser" Stone. The cast also includes Dan Fogler, Wade Briggs, and Robyn Cara.
