The DroneArt Show: Harry Potter™ is coming to Liverpool for the first time as part of its international tour. The open-air drone spectacle will take place at Haydock Park Racecourse on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22.
Created by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and Fever, the show blends advanced drone choreography with iconic music and moments from the Harry Potter film series. Featuring 1,200 illuminated drones, audiences will experience a live violinist and a canvas of light as memorable moments from the films are reimagined through aerial displays.
Interactive experience and pre-show atmosphere
The night sky above Haydock Park Racecourse will come alive as visitors are given LED wristbands that allow them to interact further with the magic of the performance. Audiences can also enjoy a celebratory wizarding world-inspired pre-show atmosphere, including food and beverage options and the chance to buy Harry Potter merchandise.
Gates open at 7pm and the show starts at 9pm, lasting 60 minutes including an intermission. People are encouraged to arrive early, as late entry may not be permitted.
Global tour and other events
As part of the global tour across America, United Kingdom and Europe, select cities will host this large-scale drone spectacle. In Los Angeles, fans will be treated to a special one-night-only event celebrating the franchise’s 25th Anniversary at the UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium on June 13.
Another cinematic drone display will be flying over Liverpool in August. Taking place at Aintree Racecourse on Saturday, August 29, the Space Safari Drone Light Show will come to Liverpool for the first time. Presented by Immersive Drone Light Shows, there will be a fairground, cinematic visuals and a full evening of live entertainment. The show features hundreds of synchronised LED drones choreographed to a cinematic soundtrack and guided by narration from BAFTA award-winning TV presenter Michaela Strachan.
Space Safari is an eco-friendly alternative to traditional fireworks displays, using choreographed drones to deliver spectacular visuals without loud explosive bangs, making it more considerate for wildlife, pets, young children, and neurodiverse audiences. Early bird tickets have sold out with the second release now available online. Prices begin from £16.49 for children between three and 17 and adults tickets at £18.90. Children under three go free. The event is one-night-only on Saturday, August 29, with gates opening at 4pm and closing at 10pm.
