A special evening celebrating the life and career of Terry Gilliam, one of cinema's great visionaries, was scheduled to take place at Cadogan Hall in London and online. However, the event has been cancelled.
The tribute was planned to mark several milestones: 50 years since Monty Python and the Holy Grail, 40 years since Brazil, and 30 years since 12 Monkeys, with Gilliam turning 85 later this year.
Hosted by Andrew Pulver, the evening would have featured highlights from Gilliam's career, including specially selected clips, and contributions from friends, colleagues and admirers. Attendees would have had the chance to ask questions about his inspirations, struggles and triumphs.
The in-person event was set for Wednesday 29 October 2025, from 7.30pm to 9pm GMT at Cadogan Hall, with doors opening at 6pm. Tickets for in-person attendance started at £31.50, while livestream access was available for £15. A recording would have been provided to ticket holders for two weeks after the event.
