A legal drama that viewers have called 'one of the best' courtroom series in years is set to stream on ITVX. The Canadian production Family Law, starring Jewel Staite and Emmy-winner Victor Garber, will be added to ITVX's drama portfolio on June 21, making it a must-watch for fans of Nicola Walker's series The Split.
Plot and Characters
The courtroom series follows Abigail Bianchi (Jewel), a high-functioning recovering alcoholic whose legal career is in tatters after a very public and messy meltdown. 'Forced to work for her estranged father, Harry Svensson (Victor), Abigail must navigate the chaotic world of family law while attempting to build relationships with the half-siblings she has never met,' a synopsis explains.
The comedy drama, which also features Zach Smadu and Genelle Williams, began in 2021 and ran for four series. It has garnered a loyal fanbase, with viewers praising its refreshing and heartfelt storytelling.
