Dawn Taylor's feelings for Billy Fletcher resurfaced after she discovered he had started seeing Gabby Thomas in Emmerdale. Following his marriage breakdown, Billy had put romance on hold, focusing on being a dad to Clemmie, Lucas and Evan, and adjusting to seeing his ex with Joe Tate. Billy being single gave Dawn the illusion she had moved on, but seeing him with housemate Gabby changed her emotions.
Dawn's panic over Gabby's health
Next week, Dawn's secret worry that Billy sees a long-term future with Gabby increases as she panics about Gabby possibly being pregnant. Dawn finds Gabby unconscious on the floor after a dizzy spell. She tells Gabby to get checked out, unaware the collapse is linked to Gabby's poor relationship with food.
During her appointment, Manpreet Sharma finds Gabby's blood pressure is low and suggests a pregnancy test for peace of mind. When Gabby returns, Dawn hides her relief upon learning Gabby isn't carrying Billy's baby. However, she then learns Gabby has ditched her birth control pills, believing they negatively impact her clean living regime.
Dawn oversteps and faces Gabby's wrath
Overstepping, Dawn calls Billy about this, and later faces Gabby's anger when Gabby finds out Dawn updated Billy on a private matter. Irritated, Gabby rants to Joe, stating Dawn still has feelings for Billy. Meanwhile, Dawn finds a detention slip in Lucas' pocket, putting her and Billy back in comfortable roles as mum and dad. Relaxing into old times, Billy leans in to kiss Dawn, but she pulls away just as Joe arrives. Dawn begins to wonder how much Joe actually saw.
The next day, Joe calls an impromptu family lunch. Suspicious Graham Foster reckons Joe is up to something, but Joe refuses to give anything away. How much does Joe know about Dawn and Billy? And what will he do with the information?
