Emily Blunt Dazzles in Lilac at Disclosure Day London Premiere

Emily Blunt turned heads in a stunning lilac gown at the UK premiere of her new film, Disclosure Day, held at Cineworld IMAX in London on Thursday evening. The 43-year-old actress and mother of two wore a strapless, structured bodice gown with a pencil skirt, complemented by mesh heels and matching lilac makeup and nails.

Blunt was joined by her sister Felicity Blunt and brother-in-law Stanley Tucci at the star-studded event. The film, directed by Steven Spielberg, is a sci-fi epic in which Blunt plays Margaret Fairchild, a Kansas City journalist turned meteorologist who uncovers a government conspiracy. The cast also includes Colin Firth, Josh O'Conner, and Eve Hewson.

Notably absent was Blunt's husband of 10 years, John Krasinski, with whom she shares daughters Hazel, 12, and Violet, 10. The couple prioritise keeping their children out of the spotlight, though Blunt revealed to WSJ. Magazine that the girls are already developing an interest in acting, performing in school plays and enjoying time on set. Krasinski told CBS Mornings, 'The simple answer is kids and family first. We always have done a good job of doing one movie and then the next, so one of us is always home with the kids.'

The premiere also saw a minor mishap when screenwriter David Koepp slipped on the rainy red carpet. He was quickly helped up by Blunt and Eve Hewson, laughing off the fall. Blunt later spoke to HELLO! about teaching her daughters kindness, saying, 'When people are embarrassed, they are really unhappy, and they don't make good choices. Kindness has been a big part of their upbringing.'

Early social media reactions suggest Blunt may be in line for a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role, with many calling her performance an all-time high. Disclosure Day is set for release on June 12th.
