Paramount+'s new spin-off Dutton Ranch has already won over Yellowstone fans, with many declaring it superior to the original series. The show stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprising their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, and its debut episode has been praised for its gripping opening sequence.
The premiere sees Beth and Rip living happily on their Montana ranch, only for a devastating wildfire to destroy everything. Six months later, the couple is forced to start over in Rio Paloma, Texas. Fans have taken to social media to express their excitement, with one calling the first 15 minutes "equal to if not better than" Yellowstone's season four opener.
Another viewer commented: "This is already proving to become one of my favourite shows. Wow what a fantastic start in just two episodes!" The positive reception suggests Dutton Ranch could surpass its predecessor in popularity. New episodes air every Friday on Paramount+.
Creator Taylor Sheridan continues to expand the Yellowstone universe with other spin-offs including Marshals, the prequels 1883 and 1923, and upcoming shows 1944 and 6666. Dutton Ranch follows the beloved characters Beth and Rip as they navigate new challenges in Texas.
