Depot in the Castle returns for its eighth year at Cardiff Castle on July 25. Starting in 2018, the music festival has brought iconic acts to the Welsh capital including Craig David, Kaiser Chiefs and more recently Jess Glynne who performed a sold out gig in 2025. It features live music, street food and entertainment. Leading the line-up this year is indie rock band The Wombats and the reunited Sugababes.
Event Details
Depot in the Castle will take place in Cardiff Castle on Saturday, July 25. Doors open at 12pm and it is expected to finish around 10.30pm. There are still tickets available with tickets starting at £56.65 for general admission or £144.20 for premium viewing. You can buy them from Ticketmaster.

Road Information
Castle Street will close half an hour before the event ends and reopen when the crowds disperse. For full Cardiff city centre road closure information, please visit the Cardiff Council website.
Banned Items
Chairs, portable furniture, inflatables or foldable furniture are not allowed into the castle. Food and drink are not permitted however there are food and drink concessions within the event. Sealed bottles of soft drinks or water under 500ml are permitted. Additionally you can take in an empty reusable water bottle of any size. You can bring metal, plastic or other materials, but not glass. There will be free water refill stations at the venue. If you have a medical condition, a doctor’s note will permit diet-specific food and drink only. Assistant dogs are permitted on site. If you are bringing a registered assistant dog, please let Depot know in the accessible requirements form that is emailed to you by Ticketmaster after purchasing accessible tickets. Alternatively, please contact them at access@depotcardiff.com. Small bags/rucksacks are permitted. Bag searches will be in operation.

General admission for Cardiff Castle gigs is via the north gate, at the rear of the castle.

Where to Park?
There is lots of parking in Cardiff city centre including at Sophia Gardens and the Civic Centre - both very near to the castle. City centre car parks are also available at: St David's Shopping Centre, John Lewis, Capitol Shopping Centre, and NCP (Adam Street, Dumfries Place and Greyfriars Road).
