Demi Moore, Chloé Zhao, Stellan Skarsgård Join Cannes Jury

Demi Moore, Chloé Zhao, and Stellan Skarsgård are among the jurors who will decide the Palme d'Or at this year's Cannes Film Festival, organizers announced on Monday. Just about a week before the 79th edition of the festival begins on May 12, the nine-member jury that will deliberate on the films in competition at the annual French Riviera event was unveiled.

Jury Composition

As previously announced, South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook will serve as president of the jury. Joining him are Moore, Zhao, and Skarsgård, along with Irish-Ethiopian actor Ruth Negga, Belgian director and screenwriter Laura Wandel, Chilean director and screenwriter Diego Céspedes, Ivorian-American actor Isaach De Bankolé, and Scottish screenwriter Paul Laverty.

Notable Connections to Cannes

Both Moore and Skarsgård have recently co-starred in films that premiered at Cannes and later earned them Oscar nominations. Moore's film "The Substance" debuted at the festival in 2024, while last year's "Sentimental Value," featuring Skarsgård, also launched at Cannes. The festival is scheduled to run from May 12 to May 23.
