The Crow Girl season two is finally arriving on Paramount Plus after an 18-month wait, premiering on Monday, July 20. All six episodes will be available as a box set on release day, allowing fans to binge the entire season without waiting.
What Happened in Season 1?
The first season ended with a shocking revelation: Dr. Sophia Craven, played by Katherine Kelly, was revealed to be the killer named Victoria. The character had endured horrific abuse from her father, who also fathered her daughter Madeleine. When her father killed Madeleine, Sophia murdered him. She also killed paedophile Carl Lowry in the hospital and imprisoned her mother behind a bookcase for ignoring the abuse.
In the final moments, DCI Jeanette Kilburn (Eve Myles) went to Sophia's house for comfort, leading to a kiss between the two women. While Jeanette lay in bed, Sophia went to check on her imprisoned mother, setting up a tense continuation.
What to Expect in Season 2
The official synopsis teases: "As Jeanette digs deeper, Dr. Sophia Craven begins to suspect Victoria Burkeman, her mysterious former patient, could be responsible." The relationship between Jeanette and Sophia becomes increasingly complex and emotionally charged, placing their trust and judgement under strain. The season promises "new victims and new secrets" as the investigation deepens.
The Crow Girl season two premieres on Monday, July 20, exclusively on Paramount Plus.
