A cleaner at the Commonwealth Games has become a viral sensation after entertaining crowds with his dance moves between events.
Cleaner steals the show
Between netball matches at Glasgow's OVO Hydro, CJ Miller broke into energetic dance routines while cleaning the floor. Instead of quietly going about his duties, he performed moves including the worm, the splits, twists and jumps to Queen's 'I Want To Break Free'. The audience cheered, laughed and sang along.
Footage of Miller's performances spread across social media, and fans noticed he also danced during breaks in gymnastics and basketball competitions.
Professional dancer
Miller told Australian outlet 7 News that he is a professional dancer, saying performing comes naturally. Online viewers praised him, with comments like '10 out of 10 from the judges' and 'amazing' and 'brilliant'. On Reddit, one user joked: 'Freddie Mercury would be so proud,' while another said: 'Those splits were 10 outta 10.'
Miller appeared on Australian breakfast show Sunrise to discuss his viral moment. He explained that he decided to 'send it full' while cleaning. When asked about inspiration, he said: 'Cardi B. That's the one.'
Describing himself as a cleaner by day and dancer by night, Miller admitted he never imagined going viral: 'I got up, got my Starbucks, contemplated life decisions, came into work and then there it was. It's been a wild 12 hours.'
