Come Dine With Me left some guests petrified during the latest episode. The popular Channel 4 series returned for its third instalment of the week, with Aodhan taking on hosting duties in Belfast.
Gothic-themed dinner party
Guests Andrea, Donna, James and Kirsty dressed up for Aodhan's fancy dress party but were taken aback by the outlandish decor. In his dining room, Aodhan had a haunted figurine on the wall and a doll covered in blood on a bookshelf.
Although his guests laughed off the gothic style, they revealed their real thoughts on camera. Donna said: "It was freaky. Really freaky. What was that all about?" Kirsty added: "It scared the living daylights out of me when I first walked in." Referring to the scary doll, she said: "I literally couldn't see out the corner of my eye staring at me and I'm not good with horror stuff."
Aodhan's explanation
Kirsty quizzed Aodhan on why he dressed so monstrously. He said: "My best friend actually gave me this suit and the headpiece is quite monstrous and scary, but it's all about having a laugh." Sharing insight into his drag career, he revealed: "When I first started drag, I was 17, so I was like a bedroom drag queen, I was doing it in secret and I used to borrow my sister's makeup."
Low score
After the first and second courses, Aodhan introduced friends from the drag community who put on a lively show. Despite his efforts, Aodhan scored the least of the week's hosts so far. Come Dine With Me airs weekdays at 6:30pm on Channel 4.
