Jeremy Clarkson has admitted he will 'probably faint' if his Hawkstone Farmers Choir wins tonight's Britain's Got Talent final. The 66-year-old former Top Gear presenter founded the choir a year ago to promote his Hawkstone beer brand.
In his latest Sun column, Clarkson wrote: 'So the Hawkstone Farmers' Choir was born and tonight, after two spell-binding performances in the heats, they are in the final of Britain's Got Talent. I'll be there, cheering them on. And I cannot wait. Even my hair is excited.'
Clarkson also relayed a warning from his Clarkson's Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper to judge Simon Cowell, who is a neighbour in the Cotswolds. 'If you say anything nasty about them, I'll get in my tractor and f*** up your hedge,' Cooper reportedly said.
The choir, made up of farmers from across the country, was initially assembled to sing 'sweary songs' for a beer advert but decided to stay together. Clarkson noted: 'They said that farming is a lonely job and it was good to feel part of a gang.'
If they win, the group will receive £250,000 and a spot at the Royal Variety Show. The final airs on ITV from 7pm to 9.30pm tonight, with the choir competing against nine other acts.
