Channel 5's acclaimed detective drama The Crow Girl concludes tonight, Wednesday, July 29, with its sixth and final episode of season one. The series, based on Erik Axl Sund's bestselling Scandinavian novel, originally launched on Paramount+ in January 2025 and aired on Channel 5 this month. It follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn (Eve Myles) and DI Lou Stanley (Dougray Scott) as they hunt a killer targeting young men in Bristol, whose bodies are found beaten and containing the anesthetic lidocaine. Taking over the primetime slot is a brand new detective series: Benidorm is Murder. Described as a cosy crime show, it comes from the writer behind Death in Paradise. The series stars John Hannah as Dennis Govan, a former police officer who moves to Benidorm only to be drawn back into investigating when tourists start turning up dead. Carolina Bécquer plays his unlikely sidekick, Rosa.

A deeper storyline involves an old enemy from Dennis's past walking into his pub, leading to a lock-in that ends with blood on the floor, making Dennis the prime suspect.
