Avengers Doomsday Comic Con Trailer Reveals Entire Plot
Avengers Doomsday Trailer Spoils Plot at Comic Con

Marvel Studios screened the Avengers: Doomsday trailer exclusively at Comic Con, and descriptions have revealed major plot points. The film involves the collision of three universes: Earth-616 (Sacred Timeline), Earth-828 (Fantastic Four 1960s), and an unknown X-Men universe seen in The Marvels end credits.

Key Lines from the Trailer

In the trailer, Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) speaks of Doctor Doom: "He was the smartest in every room. He used to be different. He used to be kind. He used to be caring. Then everything he loved was taken from him. I knew he was lost, but he did not realise it, that he is broken." Reed Richards asks Doom: "Victor, did you do this?" Doom responds: "All of you, have lived stolen lives," over footage of Steve Rogers with his baby.

Connection to Avengers Endgame

The plot ties back to Avengers: Endgame, where Captain America stayed in the past to marry Peggy Carter and have a child. The trailer implies Steve's actions created Earth-828, where the Fantastic Four exist. Doom appears to be from that universe, as indicated by the empty Latveria chair in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. He also kidnaps Franklin Richards, who can manipulate reality, in that film's end credits scene.

Doom's Motivations

Doom wants to sacrifice other universes to restore his dead family from Earth-828. The trailer also shows a younger Steve Rogers, presumably aged into the 1960s setting of that timeline.

Avengers: Doomsday releases in cinemas on December 18, 2026.
