Celebrities across the UK have taken to social media to honour their mothers and mother figures for Mother's Day, which fell on 15 March this year. Among those sharing heartfelt messages were Gordon Ramsay, David and Victoria Beckham, and other A-list stars.
Harper Beckham, the 14-year-old daughter of David and Victoria Beckham, posted a rare public tribute to her mother on Victoria's Instagram Story. 'Happy Mother's Day to the best mum ever,' Harper wrote alongside a throwback photo. 'Thank you for always being there for me, supporting me, and putting up with me even on my worst days.' David Beckham also shared a message, calling Victoria 'the most amazing mummy' and an 'inspiration' to their four children.
Gordon Ramsay celebrated his wife Tana, with whom he shares six children, posting a collection of photos from their relationship. 'A Very Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums and expecting Mums to Be across the UK,' he wrote on Instagram, also including a picture with his own mother, Helen Cosgrove. Their daughter Holly Ramsay, 26, shared wedding-day photos with her mother, writing 'Happy Mother's Day to the best mama'.
Other celebrities joining the tributes included Spice Girls' Melanie Brown, who posted a throwback photo with her mother Andrea, and Amanda Holden, who shared pictures with her mother and two daughters. Tess Daly, of Strictly Come Dancing, posted a letter of gratitude to all mothers, saying 'thank you today and always'.
