On 1 August, erotic thriller Soulm8te, a spinoff from the M3GAN franchise starring Claudia Doumit, hits cinemas. The film follows a man who uses an artificially intelligent android to cope with the loss of his wife.
7 August brings One Night Only, the story of singles Owen and Allie, starring Dua Lipa's husband Callum Turner, Monica Barbaro and Molly Ringwald. Also released that day are Ice Cream Man, Super Troopers 3, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, Cookie Queens, The Run, Olmo, Late Fame and Julian, while The Last House reaches Netflix.
On 14 August, Anne Hathaway stars in The End Of Oak Street, a sci-fi thriller about a cosmic event that rips a suburban neighbourhood apart. Seth Rogen and Kristen Stewart also feature in The Wrong Girls, while Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie is released and Camp Rock 3 lands on Disney+.

21 August brings Insidious: Out of the Further, Mutiny starring Jason Statham, Spa Weekend starring Anna Faris and Isla Fisher, The Magic Faraway Tree with Andrew Garfield and Rebecca Ferguson, and It Ends with Noah Toth.
Horror fans are anticipating Buddy, a comedy slasher about a group of children trapped inside a 1990s kids' TV show, reaching cinemas on 28 August. The same day features Finding Emily, about a lovesick musician trying to find the girl of his dreams after she gave him the wrong number, as well as James Franco's Idiots, Robert De Niro's The Whisper Man and Dakota Fanning's The Sun Never Sets.

ROLE MODEL releases Chuck Timely & The Hourglass on 7 August. On 14 August, KATSEYE's WILD, Phoebe Bridgers' Lost Weekend and The Script's The User's Guide To Being Human arrive.
Weezer's The Gold Album and Sam Smith's Hazel Eyes are due on 21 August. Prince's posthumous collection Timeless, featuring rare and unreleased studio recordings, becomes available on 28 August.

Ted Lasso returns for a fourth season on 5 August, focusing on an all-female football team. Reacher season four arrives on 12 August, and Ricky Gervais' Alley Cats premieres on Netflix on 7 August, a cartoon following stray cats fighting to survive on the streets.
Netflix adds series 1-3 of The Sex Lives of College Girls on 31 August, including Renee Rapp's breakout role as Leighton.
