Fans attending Ariana Grande's London shows on her Eternal Sunshine tour must follow strict new entry rules. Ticketmaster UK announced that concertgoers at the O2 Arena can only bring clear plastic bags, describing the policy as 'mandatory for admittance to the show'.
Bag restrictions and size limits
Each ticketholder may carry just one transparent bag. Backpacks, handbags, clutches, and tinted or patterned plastic bags are all banned. Clear bags must be made of plastic, vinyl or PVC and measure no larger than 30cm x 15cm x 30cm. Fans may also bring a medium-sized clear freezer or zip-lock bag, provided all belongings are visible inside.
'Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive with only essential items,' the guidance states. It also notes that belongings cannot be split across multiple bags; everything must fit into a single transparent bag. Medical, accessibility, and parent or child-care bags are still permitted but must be inspected by venue security.
Camera and recording restrictions
Professional cameras and recording devices are prohibited, though mobile phones with built-in cameras remain allowed.
Security context
While the rules may surprise some fans, they are not new for Grande's UK concerts. The same clear bag policy was in place during her Sweetener World Tour in 2019, when she returned to Manchester less than two years after the terrorist attack that killed 22 people following her concert at Manchester Arena in May 2017. Security at her shows has remained robust since then.
Tour details
The pop superstar will perform 10 shows at London's O2 Arena from August 15 to September 1, marking one of the biggest arena residencies of the year. Fans are also awaiting the release of her new album, Petal, on July 31, though it is unclear if she will update the Eternal Sunshine setlist with songs from the new record.
