Alicia Silverstone, best known for her role as Batgirl in the 1997 film Batman & Robin, has shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes anecdote about her co-star George Clooney.
In a recent interview, Silverstone recalled how Clooney, who played Batman in the critically panned but cult-favourite movie, struggled with the infamous Batsuit. "George had this one funny moment where he couldn’t even turn his head properly because of the suit," she revealed. "It was so stiff—he had to move his whole body just to look at someone!"
The actress, who played Barbara Wilson (Batgirl), joked that the restrictive costume made for some awkward on-set moments. "We’d be filming serious scenes, and then George would shuffle around like a robot. It was hard not to laugh!"
Despite the film’s mixed reception, Silverstone fondly remembers her time on set. "It was such a fun experience, even if the costumes were a nightmare. George was a great sport about it all."
The story has since gone viral, with fans reminiscing about the campy charm of Batman & Robin and Clooney’s good-natured humour.
