Zoe Kravitz has broken her silence on persistent rumours of an engagement to Harry Styles, describing the intense public scrutiny as 'overwhelming'. In an interview with British Vogue, the 37-year-old actress acknowledged the speculation surrounding her relationship with the former One Direction star, which began in August 2025.
Kravitz admitted being acutely aware of the public fascination, stating: 'I’m aware it’s happening. I’m aware of when it’s happening, like when there are eight people outside my house, that’s super uncomfortable.' She added that engaging with such speculation can be unhealthy, saying: 'There are moments, obviously, when you just want to hide because it feels overwhelming.'
The rumours intensified after images emerged of Kravitz wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring in New York City. Addressing her choice to maintain normalcy, she said: 'People sometimes ask me, “Why are you walking around?” It’s because I live in New York. I live three blocks away – I’m not going to get in a car.'
Kravitz also discussed balancing her career with potential marriage and children, noting: 'You just have to be realistic. If I want to do something well, I have to focus on it. Knowing myself, I’m not going to have a kid and direct movies at exactly the same time.'
Reflecting on her upbringing as the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, she described her father's fame as something that 'was more about really wanting time and then all these people would come and try to take him away.' She found solace in moving to New York, 'the one place where I felt really comfortable'.
Kravitz's film credits include X-Men: First Class, Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Batman. Styles, who rose to fame on The X Factor in 2010, has since achieved four UK number one singles and three UK number one albums as a solo artist.
