Zendaya turned heads on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Monday, July 27. The 29-year-old actress wore a plunging black Ashi Studio corset dress with an elegant train. Her long-time stylist, Law Roach, told Variety the dress was spider-inspired: "It’s kind of an abstract way to present the spider."

Zendaya was joined by her husband and co-star Tom Holland, who wore a burgundy suit as a tribute to Spider-Man's superhero suit. Stranger Things star Sadie Sink wowed in a silver gown; it is speculated she will play X-Men's Jean Grey. Jon Bernthal, who co-stars with Zendaya and Tom in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey as well as Spider-Man, wore a silver blazer. Oscar-winner Michael B. Jordan made a surprise appearance in a white Spider-Man T-shirt. Jacob Batalon, who plays Ned Leeds, opted for a brown suit.

Brand New Day is the fourth MCU Spider-Man film, following No Way Home (2021). Tom Holland has praised the film as a "rebirth" for the franchise with a "darker theme" and called it his favorite in the series. Zendaya confirmed during a fan event in July that she and Tom had married, ending months of fan speculation. The couple first met in June 2016 on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
