Zara McDermott and Louis Tomlinson have been seen enjoying a romantic date at a hotel in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, fuelling speculation that their romance is now confirmed. The pair were photographed by a fellow guest as they dined on £100 fish and chips and cocktails, looking loved-up and holding hands.
The sighting comes weeks after Zara's split from her boyfriend of five years, Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson. The former Love Island contestant, 28, and the One Direction singer, 33, were described as “every bit the happy couple” by an onlooker, who noted that Louis “was really making her giggle”.
According to a source, Louis planned the trip to The Suffolk hotel, where rooms cost up to £315 a night, and wanted to make it special for Zara. The insider said the pair share the same values and are both close to their families, adding that they are taking things slowly but enjoying each other’s company.
Rumours of a relationship first emerged last month when Louis and his sisters began following Zara on Instagram. However, some social media users have speculated that the connection may be professional, given Zara’s background in documentaries and talk of a potential Tomlinson family show.
