Zara Larsson Delivers Energetic Set at Montreux Jazz Festival's 60th Edition
Zara Larsson's Energetic Set at Montreux Jazz Festival 60th

Pop star Zara Larsson delivered a high-energy performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival's milestone 60th edition, wearing a custom outfit by local fashion designer Kévin Germanier. The Swedish singer, dressed in a frayed crop top and ripped corset-laced jeans, told the audience, "I'm ready to sweat with you guys tonight. Are you ready to dance tonight?"

Custom Outfit by Local Designer

Larsson's floral top was created by Kévin Germanier, a Montreux-based designer who also made a haute couture poster for the festival's 60th anniversary, the first embroidered poster in the festival's history. Germanier has dressed other pop stars including Björk, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga, and Larsson previously wore one of his gowns to the Grammys earlier this year.

Energetic Performance and Recent Success

Larsson performed in the Stravinski Auditorium, showcasing pristine vocals, sharp choreography, and Scandinavian charisma. Her set included songs from her deluxe remix album Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, which features collaborations with Shakira, Robyn, PinkPantheress, and Tyla. The latter two also performed at Montreux last week.

Larsson has enjoyed a major chart revival since her 2017 hit "Symphony" went viral on TikTok due to videos of leaping dolphins. She told the audience, "I've had such a crazy year. I feel like I'm sort of the mother of dolphins right now, which is amazing. There is so much glitter in my world. I feel really happy."

New Album and Record Deal

Larsson recently signed a new record deal with RCA after landing her first US Top 10 hit and is already working on a new album for 2027. She also recently launched a swimwear line, complementing her 'beach babe' aesthetic.

Opening Act Faouzia

Earlier in the evening, classically trained vocalist Faouzia, born in Morocco but raised in Canada, performed a powerhouse set inside the Stravinski Auditorium, warming up the audience for Larsson.
