Zara Larsson has become the latest celebrity to criticise Justin Bieber's underwhelming Coachella performance. The Swedish singer took to TikTok to mock the 32-year-old's set, which fans have branded 'lazy' and 'disappointing'.
Bieber reportedly earned around $10 million (£7.4 million) for his appearance at the iconic festival. However, instead of a high-energy show, he performed a handful of low-key songs while sitting on a stool, scrolling through YouTube videos of his own tracks on a laptop.
In her TikTok video, Larsson showed herself watching the performance with the caption: 'It's giving let's smoke and watch YouTube'. She added a cannabis-related comment: 'He's in my dream blunt rotation.'
Fans were equally unimpressed, taking to social media to vent. One user on X wrote: 'Not Justin Bieber scammed Coachella out of $10 million to play songs off of YouTube.' The set was delayed by high winds, and Bieber asked fans to 'help me with the songs tonight' by commenting on his livestream.
Despite the backlash, Bieber's wife Hailey showed support, attending the show with their 19-month-old son Jack Blues Bieber. During the performance, Bieber gave them a shoutout, saying: 'Mom and Dad, hallelujah. Hailey babe, hallelujah. Baby Jack, hallelujah.' Hailey blew him a kiss and later shared her support on Instagram.
