Country singer Zach Bryan has deactivated his X and Instagram accounts following backlash over a video showing a vulgar interaction with a fan. The incident occurred last weekend in Mississippi, where a longtime fan named Logan approached Bryan's truck to ask for a photo.
In the video, Bryan shouts a phrase referencing the Netflix sketch show 'I Think You Should Leave,' which includes a vulgar term. Logan, visibly taken aback, later posted the clip on TikTok, captioning it: 'I don't take it to heart for what he said, but still calling a fan a c**shot after asking for a photo is kinda crazy.' He added that he loves Bryan's music but finds it hard to support someone with such 'intention and personality.'
After the video gained traction, Bryan initially responded by sharing the clip alongside a reference to the sketch show, writing: 'you guys are so soft & weird.' He later added: 'A world you can’t yell “I Think You Should Leave” references out the window in is a world I don’t want to be in.' He then deactivated his accounts.
This is not the first time Bryan has faced criticism for fan interactions. Last summer, he told a 14-year-old fan to 'GOMD' (get off my d**k) after the fan complained about not receiving an autograph, sparking a feud with fellow singer Gavin Adcock. Earlier last year, he also argued with a stranger wearing Meta glasses at a bar.
Bryan's representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
