Noemi Oberhauser, a 26-year-old singer living in an apartment overlooking Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium, says her unique view has created an unexpected obstacle in her dating life. She claims men frequently message her on social media, hoping to date her solely for a closer look at the football pitch.
Unwanted Attention from Football Fans
Oberhauser, who pays £1,200 a month for the property, revealed that Arsenal fans flood her DMs whenever their team plays at Brentford. She said: "I get plenty of messages off people asking if they could come by to watch the match. Some offer to bring snacks and turn it into a cute date and sometimes people even offer to pay me money so they can watch the match from my house."
She added that she has dated people who later admitted they had seen her viral videos before meeting. "I've had guys before where I could clearly tell they only wanted to go out with me so they could see the apartment. I think I've had one or two people ghost me after seeing the pitch, which is quite funny in hindsight."
Viral Fame and Dating Red Flags
Oberhauser first gained attention in 2024 after sharing videos from her apartment online, which went viral and earned her thousands of followers. While most reactions were positive, the attention also brought unwanted advances. She now considers it a red flag if someone mentions her apartment in the first few texts. "That's also become kind of a red flag for me. If someone's mentioning the apartment in the first few texts that's a no for me."
Beyond dating, influencers have also approached her to film content in her home, sometimes later pretending it was their own apartment. This made her more cautious in professional relationships.
Silver Lining for Her Music Career
Despite the challenges, Oberhauser finds inspiration in her experiences. She said: "The upside is that my dating disasters tend to make for my best songs, so I can't complain too much. A few of those tracks are actually coming out later this year."
