Woman Ditches Bad Date by Pretending to Faint in Genius Escape
Woman Fakes Fainting to Escape Bad Date in Genius Move

A woman's date took a dramatic turn when she faked fainting to escape a man who gave her 'weird vibes' almost instantly. Her story was shared on the 'It's a Girl Thing' podcast by hosts Ebony Day and Lucie Houchin, who regularly discuss relationship drama and listener tales.

The Date from Hell

According to the story read by Lucie Houchin, the woman said: 'I was on a date with a guy who just had really weird vibes. He kept leaning in too close, and I was just not feeling it at all.' The woman began feeling 'really panicky' and couldn't think of a polite way to leave the situation.

So she ended up 'doing the only thing she could think of doing' – which was pretending to faint. Ebony Day laughed as Lucie revealed the plot and added: 'How do you pretend to faint?'

The Genius Escape Plan

In the lead-up, the woman told her date she was really dizzy and needed air. He offered to get her some water, but she said she 'needed to get outside.' Without wasting time, the woman grabbed her bag and left the restaurant. The man told her she would 'be okay,' but the woman took things further by 'falling to the floor.' After 'coming round' from the episode, she stood up and said, 'I really need to go, I'll message you later.'

But sadly for the man, she never messaged him later at all.

Social Media Reaction

Since the tale was shared on Instagram, it garnered more than 1,000 likes. One user called it 'genius,' while another commented: 'Will I ever not cry laughing at these stories?' A third added: 'Obsessed with you girls, you always make me laugh.'
