Prince William and Princess Catherine are said to be "totally over" the "circus" surrounding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, according to royal expert Robert Jobson. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met the King and Queen for the first time in four years last week, accompanied by their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Harry and Meghan's UK Visit
Harry arrived in the UK at the start of the week, while Meghan and the children joined him last Friday. The private meeting took place that afternoon. Although no information or pictures have been publicly shared from the meeting, it has been reported that Harry felt "happy and energised" after meeting with his father.
William and Catherine's Stance
Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive podcast, Robert Jobson said that, although the King and Queen were happy to meet the Sussexes, William and Catherine are "totally over" the couple. Jobson stated: "To be honest, I think they rise above it, William and Catherine. I think they rightly do. They've got enough on their plate. You know, she's been recovering and they're doing they are planning for their future. Their children are doing their own thing. You know, their oldest son, George is going up to Eton [College]. I think they're totally over the whole Meghan and Harry circus."
Future Meetings
Jobson added that the King will likely see his youngest son if he travels to the UK again, but believes that the 41-year-old won't be joined by Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet. William has not seen Harry since August 2024, when the Duke of Sussex travelled from the US to attend the funeral of their uncle Lord Fellowes. It remains unknown if the brothers spoke at the funeral, although it is said that they have not been on speaking terms for a number of years. They are believed to have last spoken at the funeral of their late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September 2022, where they walked side-by-side in the procession, but lip-readers only noted a brief exchange.
