Alex Scott has spoken about how much she will miss her girlfriend, singer Jess Glynne, while taking part in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. The former England footballer and television presenter admitted that the time apart will be the longest they have ever spent separated.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Scott revealed that Glynne encouraged her to accept the offer to appear on the ITV show. 'It is a test for both of us,' she said. 'I know she is at home, and she is going to be my biggest cheerleader, supporting me.'
Scott, who made her relationship with Glynne public in 2023, said the couple remain private about their personal lives. 'We were very guarded and private at the start because we wanted to just kind of get to know each other and let what it was blossom,' she explained.
The 40-year-old said she expects the emotional challenge of the jungle to be tougher than the physical aspects. 'I have always been so guarded and had this big armour up as a way of protection,' she said. 'Maybe I will have to show a vulnerable side and not have that armour up so much.'
Scott also described herself as 'actually really quite shy', adding that she wants to test herself in a new environment. 'I think people have a perception of me when you work on TV that you are the most outgoing, loudest one in the room,' she said. 'So I just kind of wanted to test myself in a new environment and see who comes out the other side really.'
