Welsh Forest Beach Named UK's Most Beautiful

A beach in Wales where the forest meets the sea has been praised as the 'most beautiful' in the UK. Llanddwyn beach on Anglesey boasts clear blue water, golden sand, and stunning views of the Llyn Peninsula and Eryri (Snowdonia). The beach went viral after UK travel vlogger Adell Baker shared a TikTok video describing it as "the most beautiful beach you'll visit in the UK."

Location and Features

Ynys Llanddwyn is a small tidal island off the west coast of Anglesey in North Wales. The beach is backed by a dense forest with footpaths, and the island is home to wild ponies and a historic lighthouse. According to the Visit Anglesey website, the beach is "famous as one of the best beaches in Britain," with impressive sand dunes and magnificent views of Eryri National Park, Caernarfon, and the Llyn Peninsula.

Activities and Access

The beach offers sunbathing, bathing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and fishing. A path leads through grassy hills from the beach to the nature reserve on Ynys Llanddwyn. However, as a tidal island, it becomes inaccessible during high tides. Visitors are advised to check tide times before visiting, as it is cut off from the mainland for around two hours either side of high tide.
