BBC Radio 1's new podcast 'Worst Dates' has celebrities recounting their most disastrous romantic encounters. Hosted by Arielle Free and Luke Franks, the show features stars like Russell Kane, Megan Barton-Hanson, and Sideman sharing cringe-worthy anecdotes.
In one story, 1Xtra's Sideman recalls a date where conversation was so dry he told her mid-date, 'How does it feel to know we’re never gonna see each other again?' She promptly left. 'That sounds really bad, but it’s because I was trying so much!' he explains.
Love Island's Megan Barton-Hanson describes being hit in the face with an egg thrown from a car during a date. When she asked to go back to his place to shower, he accused her of planning the attack and refused, citing high water bills.
YouTuber Lewys (@lookingforlewys) admits to fleeing a date by hiding in the bathroom and escaping when he heard the waiter take the food order. 'I felt like James Bond!' he says, adding that he later ordered the same food for himself at home.
Made in Chelsea's Jamie Laing shares a story too explicit for the podcast, involving a sexual mishap caused by his date's obsession with comedian Michael McIntyre. The full anecdote is available in the first episode.
