Wayne Rooney has expressed frustration that his wife Coleen no longer irons his clothes, a task she performed daily before the couple had children. The former Manchester United striker, 39, shared his domestic grievances on The Wayne Rooney Show podcast.
“Before we had kids, Coleen used to leave me clothes out the night before. So, every day, yeah… She’d put my clothes out, ironed and ready for me to put on the next morning,” Rooney said. “I know and then now I’ve got to get up and get my own clothes, I’m fuming.”
Co-host Kelly Cates teased him, suggesting that having four sons—Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass—had changed the household dynamics. Rooney confirmed Coleen now prepares the children’s outfits instead. The couple, childhood sweethearts from Liverpool, have been married for 17 years.
During the same podcast, Rooney recounted a surreal evening with David and Victoria Beckham and Frank Lampard, where he accidentally bumped young Brooklyn Beckham’s head. He described the Beckhams as “a lot funnier than people would think.”
