Warwick Davis makes first red carpet appearance with daughter since wife's death

Warwick Davis attended the Pride of Britain Awards in central London on Monday evening, marking his first public appearance since the death of his wife Samantha earlier this year. The 54-year-old actor was accompanied by his daughter Annabel, 29, who is known for her role in Hollyoaks.

Dressed in a velvet blazer, Davis smiled for photographs alongside Annabel, who wore a black ensemble with a check brown coat. The couple’s appearance came after the family announced Samantha’s passing on March 24, following a long battle with health issues.

Samantha Davis, who married Warwick in 1991, was also an actress and appeared in productions such as Through the Dragon’s Eye and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Warwick previously described her as a “unique character” and said her death “left a huge hole” in their lives.

The couple endured several tragedies, including the loss of their baby Lloyd nine days after his birth in 1991 and an unborn child at 20 weeks in 1993. Samantha also suffered multiple miscarriages before safely giving birth to Annabel and their son Harrison.

Samantha faced numerous health challenges related to achondroplasia, including spinal surgery in 2019 that led to sepsis. Despite these struggles, she was remembered as a loving wife and mother who could “light up a room.”
