Podcast star and model Vogue Williams, currently captivating audiences in the I'm A Celebrity jungle, has opened up about the foundational rule that has defined her seven-year marriage to Made In Chelsea's Spencer Matthews.

Vogue Williams, 40, made it explicitly clear to her husband, Spencer Matthews, 37, that his previous drinking habits posed a direct threat to their relationship. Despite persistent rumours of marital trouble, the couple have consistently presented a united front, with Vogue attributing part of their stability to this crucial understanding.
Speaking candidly on Elizabeth Day's How to Fail podcast, Vogue explained that watching Spencer's unproductive behaviour while she was advancing her career was a significant concern. She revealed that she had warned him he would 'lose' his wife if he continued with his lifestyle at the time.
A Life-Changing Decision
Spencer Matthews made the pivotal decision to give up drinking, a choice that Vogue describes as transformative. This personal achievement not only salvaged their marriage but also catalysed a dramatic career shift for the reality TV star.
Vogue observed that as soon as her husband stopped drinking, he began achieving much more, and his career 'completely changed'. This positive transformation led Spencer to channel his experience into a new business venture, founding the successful alcohol-free spirit brand, CleanCo.
Finding a New Balance
The couple have established a new normal where alcohol is no longer a central part of their home life. Vogue clarified that they don't keep drink in the house, not out of fear, but simply because they don't want it.
Spencer has echoed his wife's sentiments, admitting on the Everything I Know About Me podcast that 'there was a certainty that I would lose Vogue if I carried on drinking the way I was drinking.' He has since reframed his relationship with alcohol, now only drinking occasionally and often feeling instant regret when he does.
