Victoria Beckham made a risqué joke about her husband David's 'huge broad bean' while celebrating Father's Day at their Cotswolds home. The playful moment came after the couple extended an olive branch to their estranged son Brooklyn via social media.
Innuendo-Filled Cooking Video
Posh Spice took to Instagram with a video of former footballer David preparing dinner. As he cooked, he picked up one of his broad beans and said: 'Darling look at that!' Victoria responded with an awed 'wow' as David continued to show off the vegetable. She then said: 'That's a hell of a broad bean. You know I think they do competitions for people's vegetables, you should seriously consider taking part.'
She added that he was 'such an overachiever,' to which he responded that 'size matters.' Victoria laughed and joked: 'I love you. And not just because of your massive broadbean.' As he showed off his other vegetables, including garlic, onions and courgettes, Victoria exclaimed: 'My husband's courgette is impressive!'
Father's Day Messages Amid Estrangement
The video was posted shortly after both David and Victoria shared Father's Day messages that included their estranged son Brooklyn. David posted pictures on Instagram of himself with all his children and said: 'Being a dad is my most important job - I love you all and thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads around the world.'
Victoria posted a picture of David with all their children - Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper - and said: 'David you truly are the best daddy. Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much. Happy Father's Day.' She also shared a picture of her children when they were younger, with the words: 'We all love you so much.' They did not tag Brooklyn, as blocked accounts are unable to do so.
Brooklyn's Legal Notice and Allegations
The posts come despite Brooklyn sending a legal notice to his parents instructing them not to tag him in posts or contact him except through lawyers. He also posted a lengthy statement on social media, full of allegations against his parents. Brooklyn claimed that his parents were controlling and tried to destroy his relationship with Nicola. He alleged that, on their wedding day, his parents told him that she was 'not blood' and that his mother 'hijacked' their first dance.
DoorDash Commercial Stirs Controversy
Brooklyn later caused a stir when he made light of the family drama in a World Cup-themed commercial for American food delivery brand DoorDash. The promotional clip showed the eldest Beckham child at home while waiting for a delivery. Addressing the camera, he said: 'You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home. It's not like I don't have tickets.' He then added: 'Um, it's because … it's a long story.'
Fans were stunned to see Brooklyn addressing the drama in an advert, which he is reportedly being paid $1 million for. According to sources, the Beckhams were shocked and upset to see the ad.
