Victoria Beckham has admitted that she has spent most of her life feeling insecure about her looks, but entering her 50s has brought a newfound sense of self-acceptance. The former Spice Girl turned fashion designer shared her emotional journey in a candid interview.
Learning to Love Herself
Speaking on The Beauty Desk podcast, Victoria revealed: "I've spent most of my life feeling like I'm not good enough, and not liking how I look. I think the great thing about getting older is I now accept the way I look." She emphasized that turning 50 does not mean compromising on appearance: "You can still look good."
The 52-year-old star, who is married to football icon David Beckham, has often been open about her struggles with confidence. Now, she encourages others to embrace aging without giving up on themselves.
Fitness and Wellness Routine
Victoria credited her youthful looks to a disciplined routine. She works out daily, often twice: "I don't do anything differently now. In fact, I do more now than when I was 20 and 30." She wakes up at 6:15 am, sometimes exercising before waking her daughter Harper. The family enjoys breakfast together before David takes Harper to school, after which Victoria and David continue their workout together.
She also highlighted the importance of basics: "Looking after oneself, respecting oneself, drinking enough water, having a proper sleep schedule, and eating healthily." Additionally, she indulges in lymphatic drainage massages, particularly in Miami, where she finds excellent services from the Brazilian community. Her friend Kim Kardashian introduced her to skincare treatments from Israeli facialist Keren Bartov, whom she trusts deeply.
Family and Career
Despite reported tensions with her eldest son Brooklyn, Victoria feels "blessed and lucky" to have four children. She encourages all of them to follow their passions: Brooklyn as a chef, Romeo in modeling and football, Cruz with his band The Breakers, and Harper reportedly eyeing a career like her mother's.
Victoria has no plans to retire, saying: "I love being busy. It's good that the children see how passionate I am about what I do, and the work ethic that both myself and David have." She believes in leading by example, instilling drive and passion in her children.
