Vicky Pattison Denies Strictly Come Dancing 2024 Rumours

Reality television sensation Vicky Pattison has categorically denied swirling rumours that she'll be donning the sequins for this year's Strictly Come Dancing. The former Geordie Shore star addressed the intense speculation head-on during a candid interview, putting to bed any hopes of her appearing on the BBC's flagship dance competition.

The 36-year-old media personality revealed she's been inundated with messages from excited fans convinced she'd been signed for the 2024 series. "I've had so many people message me like, 'Oh my god, are you doing Strictly this year?'" Pattison shared during her appearance on the Mid Morning Matters podcast.

Despite the mounting excitement, the I'm A Celebrity winner delivered a firm verdict: "And I'm like, 'No, I'm not, sorry to disappoint.'" Her reasoning stems from a very personal place - the intense scrutiny that comes with the glitterball territory.

Pattison expressed serious concerns about the mental toll such high-pressure shows can take, particularly referencing the "Strictly curse" phenomenon that has plagued previous contestants' relationships. Having found happiness with her fiancé Ercan Ramadan, she's not willing to risk her personal life for reality TV glory.

"I don't think my relationship could handle the Strictly curse," she stated bluntly. "I don't think my mental health could handle everybody having an opinion on the way I dance, the way I look, what I'm wearing."

The Newcastle-born star isn't completely ruling out reality TV returns, but maintains Strictly isn't the right fit. Her candid admission provides a refreshingly honest perspective on the hidden pressures behind television's most glamorous shows.
