TV star and podcast host Vicky Pattison has returned to Newcastle to help people start their Christmas shopping, appearing at Eldon Square to launch the shopping centre's Christmas Central campaign.
Pattison, who first rose to fame on Geordie Shore more than 15 years ago, was spotted across the shopping centre as she aimed to help shoppers find gifts for loved ones who can be tricky to buy for.
From Geordie Shore to Eldon Square
Since Geordie Shore debuted in 2011, Pattison has been a permanent fixture on screen, landing several TV series of her own, including one documenting her wedding to husband Ercan Ramadan. She also won ITV's I'm A Celebrity in 2015 and competed in Strictly Come Dancing last year.
She now hosts the podcast Get A Grip with fellow Strictly star Angela Scanlon, but took a break from her schedule to head to Newcastle city centre for the campaign launch.
Supporting local causes
Speaking about the festive campaign, Pattison said: "We all have those people on our Christmas list that we really want to get the right gift for. Whether it's a parent who says they don't want anything, a friend who seems to have everything or someone you just want to make feel special, it is easy to overthink it."
Eldon Square's Christmas Central campaign aims to make the season easier to enjoy, bringing together everything visitors need to shop, dine and celebrate in one place. Pattison will also support two local causes: Cash for Kids' Mission Christmas and Evry at Newcastle City Council, aiding babies, children and young people affected by hardship this Christmas.
Thanks to donations from Eldon Square retailers, including John Lewis, Boots, MINISO and Menkind, the campaign will help provide gifts for children, young people and families across the city who may otherwise face Christmas without something to open.
