Vicky Pattison has been confirmed as the eleventh celebrity contestant for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, set to return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this September. The announcement was made on This Morning on Thursday 14 August.
The TV presenter, author, and radio host rose to fame after winning I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2015. Since then, she has become a familiar face on British television, with presenting roles across MTV, ITV, Channel 5, Channel 4, and TLC.
Pattison has also been recognised for her documentary work, including the critically acclaimed Channel 4 film Vicky Pattison: Alcohol, Dad and Me, which explored alcohol addiction and mental health. She has appeared on Celebrity MasterChef, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, and participated in BBC's Sport Relief: All Star Games and Arctic Challenge for Comic Relief.
Off-screen, she has authored multiple Sunday Times best-selling books, including the number one memoir Nothing But the Truth, and hosts two podcasts: Get A Grip with Angela Scanlon and BBC Sounds Love Bombed. She also presents the Saturday afternoon show on Heart Radio.
On joining Strictly, Pattison said: 'I'm absolutely buzzing to be part of this year's Strictly Come Dancing lineup... but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't terrified. I am not a natural dancer! However, it's such an amazing opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and to challenge myself in a completely new way and I just really hope I don't make too much of a fool of myself!'
Strictly Come Dancing is produced by BBC Studios Entertainment for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The remaining celebrity contestants will be announced in due course.
