Just days after announcing their separation, Tess Daly and Vernon Kay were seen partying together at the Pub In The Park festival in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, prompting speculation about a possible reconciliation. The former couple appeared relaxed and happy in each other's company, posing for photos with fans and dancing together.
Vernon, 52, was still wearing his wedding ring, which some fans interpreted as a sign that a reunion might be on the cards. The pair, who have been married for 23 years, confirmed their split in a joint statement, saying they had decided to separate amicably and remain great friends.
Vernon's father, Norman Kay, broke his silence on the break-up, urging his son not to rush into another relationship. He described Tess as a lovely woman and expressed concern for the family, including grandchildren Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 17. A source told New magazine that Tess is not ready to move on and is focusing on self-care.
The couple's marriage has faced challenges before, including a sexting scandal in 2010 involving former model Rhian Sugden, and further contact in 2016. However, Norman insisted there was no third party involved in the current split. The announcement reportedly ended with a toast between the pair, and their daughters are said to be supportive of the decision.
